I am thinking of purchasing a Track IR 2 and plan to use it in FPS games instead of a mouse.
Will I be able to look all the way around and up and down with it?
Is this an appropriate use for this device or should I just stick to the mouse?
Gonna be playing Far Cry, BFV, CoD and stuff like that.
How well does Track IR work as a mouse?

Yes you can use TrackIR in FPS games. TrackIR also has a Relative mode (mouse look) that allows you to use TrackIR as you would a mouse.
We are currently in talks with a number of developers that have shown great interest in having TrackIR support in their games. We have a very exciting time ahead of us and there will be something for everyone.
I have successfully used TrackIR in Medal of Honor, Unreal, and Call of Duty when used in combination with the TrackMapper (keymapper). This allows you to use the enhanced mode capabilities of your TrackIR so you can still use your mouse or other devices at the same time.
I hope this helps to answer your question.
