Hi,
Been using trackIR2 in IL2FB and then IL2 AEP.Works GREAT, I did need a little walk thru from helpfull squadmates, no big deal.
Well, I've been itching to fly some different multi engine US and British WWII planes so I went and purchased FS2004 the other day.
No go with TrackIR2 and FS2004. I check to see that I had correct profile loaded, that TrackIR2 was working in motion screen, and that I was in virtual cockpit mode in FS2004.
Then I remembered something about FS2002 + FS2004 needing to be installed before TrackIR2. Dug around and found TrackIR2 installation cd and sure enough, thats the case.
I'm currently running version 3.03
Will updating to the most recent version fix this problem?
If I need to uninstall TrackIR2 can I save custom profiles?
Any other quick fixes to this problem?
Thanks in Advance for the Help!

Raf74_Penguin,
When you install your TrackIR software, this installs a dll. file to your FS2004 modules folder which then allows the communication between TrackIR and FS2002/2004. Without a re-install this module does not get installed.
You can save the profiles that you have been using, however after upgrading to a new driver you may need to alter the profiles that you have been currently using slightly.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

MrGnome,
That sounds odd.
There is a chance that something may have got corrupt, a profile possibly.
Here is what I would like you to try...
1) Uninstall the software.
2) Navigate to the NaturalPoint folder where you installed your TrackIR to, if default this should be "C:\Program Files\Naturalpoint\". Delete the NaturalPoint folder and all its contents this is important, even though you re-install the software this folder will remain and if you have a corruption this will also remain.
3) Then re-install your software and ensure that the FS2004 checkbox is checked during the install, although this should be automatic as the install routine will check to see where the Fs2004 directory is through the registry.
I am sure this will resolve your problem, if you are still having problems, give me a shout.
