Editing Profiles Help Please

Post by robinmingay »

Err! Sorry but I cannot work out from the manual or anything how to edit or write new profiles. Is there a step by step instruction anywhere? I cannot work out how to save a profile, or create and edit a new one.

Thicko RobinHi Robin

I'm new to this game myself but maybe you should do a search ( all forums ) You may find something.
To create a new profile is simple...just click on make a new profile ( in profiles ) and save to whatever name you want to call it and then start altering various parameters. I can't tell you what to edit because you haven't said what you are using the Tracker with.

Maybe you should download a couple of the profiles on this site and simply play around with them... but to tailor them to your needs may take a bit longer.
One thing that may help you with the edit points ( probably the most confusing things to edit ) is here in this thread.

Good luck.

Many thanks I will take your advice. I am using TIR3Pro for FS2004 & Lock-On and am considering buying ILFB. Any more advice would be appreciated.

RobinIL2FB is the best combat prop sim out there bar non and the new expansion pack includes Spitfires...I'm bias cos I'm British It will be your favourite sim in no time flat.

There are always new profiles added to games section. Have you checked it out yet?
These profiles will give you a good start. Then just tweak them until they suit you.

I know that the manual isn't fantastic, but the Tracker is for the hard core flight simmer. The only thing I can say is to read the manual, have a play. read the manual, have a play etc...after a while things will start to sink in. The main thing to remember is that when you edit the points, they are auto saved which isn't explained properly and can confuse one when first starting out. Have fun .
