Knock on FPS in FS2K4 with high scenery!

Recently installed some HEAVY sceneries, Visual Flights, London & Fairford. I haver noticed that having Track-IR enabled causes a heavy knock on Frame Rates. Any suggestions?

How sure are you that it's not the scenery? As you are aware, I'm sure, the VC is harder on FPS than the 2D cockpit. I put Megascenery NY on mine and it SERIOUSLY affected my pc's performance at the setting I had been using prior. Just a thought

My guess is that as you are looking around the landscape you are causing much more scenery to be rendered than if you were not using TiR and simply looking out the front windshield. Without TrackIR enabled try panning around the cockpit and see if the same loss of FPS occurs.

I have to agree. I have the Mega Scenery installed and this really does push the processor and memory to its limits. Lower your settings in FS9 to see if anything changes.

What FPS are you displaying in FS9?
