Track IR 3 Pro + BSOD

Hi,

I received my first TrackIR this week complete with Vector add on and I am very impressed. My only problem is that on both FS2004 and Lock On I more often than not get a BSOD when using the TrackIR. The sound loops and the PC totally locks , requiring a hard reboot.

Other than a reformat and reinstalling windows XP (which I may resort to this weekend) can anyone suggest any methods of tracking down the cause of the crash or how to identify the offending software/hardware in the event log.

Briefly my system comprises:

Soltek NForce 3 250GB
AMD64 3200
1GB Crucial Ballistix
Radeon X800 Pro
Maxtor 200GB SATA

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Are you connected through a hub? If so connect directly to your motherboard.

What is listed in the Event Viewer for the reason for the crash?
