New Trackir 3 pro problem

Got the pro yesterday and uninstalled the old trackir 1 drivers. Then tried to install the new drivers and at first every time it would get to the "this isn't certi...bla bla"...then when i tell to ignore it flashes a blue screen & crashes...(I have it setup to warn not block)... now when i try to load the drivers I get this message "error extracting support files....the file name,directory name,or volume label syntax is incorrect"....What the hell is going on? ..redownloaded the drivers but still gives the message .the old drivers for trackir 1 would load and find no problem ....any ideas?

There are a couple of responses about removing drivers... It will also tell you what driver is registered with Windows when it picks up the TIR3 Pro.

tried most of that .....but right now it wont load the new drivers at all and gets the "error extracting support files....the file name,directory name,or volume label syntax is incorrect" message

It will load 3.13 now but when I plug it in and boot up it starts to load the drivers again then crashes to blue screen and then right out....the blue screen is so fast i can see it ...even in safe mode it happens...and the new drivers give the same syntax error...it says the 3.13 drivers are there but they wont find the device...oh and no lights on the device no matter what usb port i'm plugged into...

Okay... I have been looking into your problem this evening, and I am believe that this may be a Install Shield probelm.

I need to check my system at the office then we can find a solution

well I tried repairing xp to see if that might be the problem (missing files or something) but after the reinstall the problem is still the same....Hmmmmmm

Sully I take it the copy I sent you is behaving the same way?

Yes it is unfortunetly....I also updated my install shield kernel to no avail.....thanks for the help Barred

You should have had another e-mail from today.
Rename your Install Shield folder, and carry out the install again.
If all is well then delete the renamed folder.

Please let me know how you get on with this one.
