Horizontal Tareing

I have track IR, use it mostly in Il2 online, when i play in mostly green maps, normandy crimea etc everything seems ok, however when in bright, white snowy maps, when i look around i get horizontal tareing.

I have adjusted smooting , that has helped on the greener maps, but not on the white maps, any ideas,

Does this happen without our software running? Can you take a screen shot of the issue?

ok, good point, i have just re launched Il2, without TIR, and using the J/S POV in pan mode swinging view from left to right in cockpit and i get NO horizontal taering / shimmering.

I will try to take screen shot, however when i keep movement still no taering, its only when i move my head, we get horizontal taering and slight shimmer. again mostly noticeable in bright white maps.

In Il-2 you will get tearing,, when you turn your head,, if you have V-sync turned off, on your video card settings.

V-sync (ON) will give you a few less fps,, but it makes the Trackir run a lot smoother.

ok thanks for reply, went into Vid Card settings where V sync setting was "application applies", changed this to "always on",.......sadly no change.

NO WAIT!!!!! problem solved just adjust V-sync in OPEN GL settings.......not DIRECT 3D settings (as IL2 runs in OPEN GL)
