Track IR 5.5.0 update issue with Star Citizen

Hi all,
I updated my TiR software to 5.5.0 and Star Citizen no longer detects it when loading the game, I dont get the 2 green lights on the camera, only one on the left showing it can see my clip.

During my debugging process, I noticed that the program is now installed into a different location, C:\Program Files (x86)\TrackIR5. Rather than C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5, where my 5.4.2 was installed. Could this be causing the issue?

I dont seem to get any option to install to a specific location when running 5.5.0 installer. It just does its thing?

Is this something Star Citizen developers need to change to fix it?

For now I have gone back to 5.4.2 and all is working normally.

When you installed the TrackIR 5.5.0 software, did you update the Games List and restart the software before running Star Citizen? Does Star Citizen appear in Titles List?

Hello, this problem also occurs in War Thunder. The software does not detect the game, and the EAC shows an alert for a .dll file.

This is resolved by reverting to version 5.4.

I have the same issue. I updated the software to 5.5, updated the game list, even shut everything down and restarted my computer. It still does not work in Star Citizen. The Right side light does not come on when the game starts, nor does the right hand light on the Software.

Thank you all for reporting this issue. I have notified our development team. Guajardo, do you know which .dll EAC is showing the alert for? Other users have reported that reverting to 5.4.2 is working for them, so that may be something to try while we continue to improve the new version.

Our development team has identified the cause of this issue, and they are working on a fix. For now, please use 5.4.2 to avoid any problems with EAC, and I will update this forum as soon as they have fixed this issue.

Hello everyone,
Sorry for the late reply. I have played around some more and tried selecting the Star Citizen profile. It still wont detect. I have never had to select any kind of profile before, it just works.

I have reverted to 5.4.2 and all is fine. Thanks everyone for chiming in

I will await the update and re-test once its available.

We have identified the problem that caused certain games to not detect the TrackIR software, and we expect to have a new version released in the first half of next week. I will let you know here when it has been released.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that newest version is now working as normal in Star Citizen. Thanks for the quick fix.

Having owned this thing for many years now, glad to see it still supported, great work!
