TrackIR software doesn't start today

Hi, today Windows Update installed two patches related to .NET and TrackIR won't start (I did not use my computer since August 10th). I updated my 5.4.2 version to 5.5.0 but it didn't the trick. I tried to uninstall .NET 6.0 because one of the patches (.NET 6.0.33 update for x64 client, KB 5042131) was an update of that version, but I had no luck. The other patch is "Cummulative update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2, KB 5042099).

What .NET version uses TrackIR 5 software? Maybe a .NET reinstallation would solve my problem?

The errors when launching TrackIR are these DLL's not found:

mfc140u.dll
concrt140.dll

Have you tried installing the C++ Redistributables for Visual Studio 2013: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=40784? Both .dlls are related to the C++ Redistributables being missing or corrupt.

Hi Roger,

We released a 5.5.1 which should fix this issue, however, you need to uninstall 5.5.0 before you install 5.5.1. There's something happening where if you just install 5.5.1 over 5.5.0, not all of the files copy correctly.

If you wanted to jump to the most recent version you can do that now.

Thanks, that was I did. Latest 5.5.1 version needs some VC++ redristributable?

Hey everyone,

Please note there is a new TrackIR version 5.5.2 available which should have many of these issues fixed with the redistributables and other files that failed to download correctly in 5.5.1. This can be downloaded from our website here:
