TrackIR5 5.5.2 update broke our project today :(

We unfortunately updated to 5.5.2 this morning and are now currently having the no-window error.
We've tried every solution posted here over the last several hours: repair, reinstall, reboot, display resolution, deleted profile, deleted folders, trying older versions, even removing all NaturalPoint and TrackIR from the registry.
There was never a 'System Restore' point created, although 'Protection' is on, so we are now quite stuck on a creative project in Unreal and cannot proceed with a long production. Maybe the updates should come with warnings, especially if you need to completely uninstall first.
So, is the only solution a new update? Is there a proper update currently in the works that may fix all this? And any kind of timeframe when it might be available?
This will be quite devastating to us and could hurt us creatively and financially, not to mention the price of the device.
