Promo Video Question

Post by Anarchi5t »

Hey

Im thinking of a new flight simulator setup which includes the olympus eyetrek video glasses. This would then make a complete 3d cockpit.

However I have noticed on you promo video "TrackIR2 In Action" it shows a plane shot down and then the view follows the plane right down to a view of the tail of the plane. Now to view the tail the person would have to be facing almost 180 from the monitor making the dot hidden from the trackIR

Now my question is does the actually happen when the dot moves from the field of view or is this just for effect on the promo video?

However if I was to stick several dots around my head would it follow the dots along or centre on each different dots?

Sorry if this is a bit of an obvious question I just aint familiar with the TrackIR technology.

Scott

Hello:

Interesting post. You can mount a dot on an EyeTrek and the TrackIR will track it, no problem. You can then setup your range of movement, with the Motion Profiles, so that you will have a complete range of motion with only moving your head about 30 degrees.

You can also setup an array of dots, around the eyetrek and our tracking software will hand off between them, but this only works in Mouse Emulation mode, not TrackIR Enhanced, but that shouldn't be a problem if you are in a virtual world.

In short, if you do get this setup, we would be happy to help you make it work to your liking.
