Head Movement Too Rapid in FS2004

Post by westes »

I just installed TrackIR 3 and the version 4.0+ software with vector expansion enabled. I'm finding that the head movements are much too rapid to make this product useful. How do I slow things down enormously?

Open the profile that you wold like to use and you need to edit the curves.

Open your profile and select edit.
Open 'Edit Yaw' (default)
In the top right you will see 'Shift entire curve' click the little up/down box down a couple of times.
Then select 'Copy' with 'To All Curves'
Save

Try the edited profile in your selected game if it is still too fast/slow then repeat the above procedure selecting up/down as required.

You might need to have the smoothing between 20-50 if the movement becomes a little jerky increase in steps of 5 untill almost smooth then by one if needed.

It is a process of adjustment I am afraid untill you have the speed that you like, but once you have it set up to the speed that you are comfortable with and the positioning is adjusted so that you are looking ahead when comfortable TIR will add to your game.

It will become more 'natural' over time so stick with it and take breaks from it if you are getting a stiff neck. If you do get a stiff neck relax your neck and move normally

Good Luck and Enjoy.

You can also hit "f8" to really slow it down. You might even be able to move the "shift entire curve up" a few times while in f8 mode if the f8 mode is too slow. I havn't tried that while in f8 mode to see what effect has. Best of luck!
ENJOY!!
