Wow, nobody has posted in here apparently, so I'll start:
I'm a big fan of the Battle of Britain and Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory games, and bought a TIR3 Pro w/ VE to complement them. Instead of using a padlocked view and a diamond target box to keep sight of my enemy, I can just look around in a relatively natural fashion (after a bit of tweaking and practice, mind you). In one of my early tests of the TIR3, I was dogfighting in WoV and was able to take down one of the enemy ME-109 fighters at around 12,000 feet or so, then I did a slow circle as he fell so I could watch his smoking plane plummet to earth (he didn't bail out, in case you were wondering!).
Now, here's my little TrackIR Thrill Moment: I was doing a clockwise circle above and following his plummet. To get a better look I opened the canopy (It's a bit dirty and smudged) so I could stick my head out to have a look -- AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I DID!!! With the Vector Expansion, I was literally able to lean OUT of the cockpit, see the side of my plane, read the warning labels about where not to step on the wing, and simultaneously watch my opponent fall to his doom far below, as I laughed with savage glee!!!
At that moment I knew I had really made a good investment that helped lend realism to my game (that and of course the hard work of the fellows over at Shockwave Productions, mind you -- cheerio, old chaps!).
