Hitch in tracking

When I scan right trackir3 scans great, but when scan to the left I can not complete the scan with out image freezing at about 90 degrees. After shifting my body to the right the image completes the scan. This happens about 90% of the time. I've tried adjusting sensitivities, house lighting and about everything I could think of. Any ideas.
