FSX Settings Per View Type

Post by walinmichi »

In FSX, different from FS9, we now have multiple views within each "position" (cockpit, outside, tower, etc). In FS9 only the virtual cockpit had tacking active. How do I have this type of feature setup with FSX... so in cockpit IFR panel (2D panel) the outside isn't moving around behind the panel. Currently I'm having to switch F9 on and off and then F12 to center the view each time. Doing IFR work is challenging with the TrackIR because I'm switching between IFR panel (2D Panel) and Virtual Cockpit fairly quickly to transition from approach to landing. Thanks for the help, TrackIR is an invalueable product that has made FS9 incredibly useful as a training tool for my aviation career.

Currently, due to the way FSX handles the view setting with TrackIR enabled, you need to pause the TrackIR software to prevent the movement. Some people find it easier if they map the TrackIR pause function to one of their joystick keys.

OPen your TIR and Edit your profile. At the top there is a Hot Keys tab. Then all you need to do is click on Change and then the button on the yoke that you want associated to F9, F12 F7 which ever you want.
