4.1.029 Final Release
Just saw that the 4.1.029 final version is released and is identical to the .029Beta4. There have been numerous reports of losing track while looking down with the view fixed straight down. The only way to correct this is to recenter. This never happened in .028 but started with the .029 alpha release and continued through the B4 version. I've been using the B4 version since it was first released and it continues to have this problem. Is the final version really identical to the Beta4 version and if so, how could you release it without correcting the problem?

Here are several reasons for the finalization of the drivers....
1 - We are currently working on several other additions to the TrackIR software, which needed a finalized version of the TrackIR software to work from.
2 - We have been hard pressed to reproduce the look down issue in any of our test configurations.
3 - Out of more than 3000 downloads of the software, the issue has only been reported in a handful of cases, and some of those were resolved with a clean install of the software.
The issue is not being taken lightly, and is still being looked into, but we needed to move the drivers into a finalized stage to allow continued work on new additions and refinements of the software.

Thanks for the reply Vincent. Is it your recommendation that I do another uninstall/install process? I don't recall seeing this on the boards but I could have easily missed it.

Actually, I recommend the following steps....
Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location, http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06- ... nuals.html

Ive had the ver same look down lockup problem with trackIR 4 + vector since i updated to .29.
So i went back to .28 as i wasnt playing any games that needed .29 (FSX, ARMA etc).
Recieved my trackclipPro today so had to update to .29, i followed Vincents method (see above) and .29 now works seemlessly with no look down bug.
Flawless product.
