Pause/reset mapped to CH yoke?

Post by keisern »

Hi,

I just got my TrackIR4 Pro, and I'm really enjoying using it in FSX together with my CH yoke and pedals.

The thing is that I would like to map the pause and reset modes to button 1 and 2 on my CH yoke. Is this possible directly from the TrackIR software? Right now I'm using the (rather dodgy) CH control manager to set up keystroke commands (F9 and F12), but I'm experiencing some trouble with having to run the config every time I start my PC. I also have some problems with my pedal axis when using the CH control manager. In short, I'm looking for an easier way to pause and reset trackIR in FSX from my CH yoke.

I've also heard about the FSUIPC program, but that sounds rather complicated to use (and it costs money

Any help appreciated!

Click on your profile and then click on 'Edit'. Once that is open you should see a 'HotKeys' tab in the main TIR window. Go into HotKeys and then just click on the function you want to change and then the button on your stick that you want the command to be associated with.

This will work with any DirectX Control Device plugged in ie sticks, wheels and pads.

Hi Barred,

Im trying to set TrackIR pause to CH yoke button 01 and reset to button 02. Ive followed your directions;

Prior to running FSX and making sure that Im in the FSX profile the buttons work correctly while looking at the View, heads display, I can turn them off and on and reset.

When I start FSX the TrackIR main tab shows Current game FSX, and Profile shows Flight but the control for the 01 and 02 buttons goes away as soon as FSX is up and running.

Any ideas of what else I could do to get this working?

Any help would be appreciated.

Just to jump in here........

1 - So the FSX profile you have set up, shows the yoke keystrokes?

2 - Make sure that within FSX, those buttons aren't being mapped to some other key function as well.

Hi Vincent,

I found something called mouse yoke and mouse look wthin the control settings of FSX. Button number 01 was mapped to "look reset" so I deleted that and restarted.

This did not solve the problem. But, with the hot key window up, I pressed "refresh direct input" and the buttons began to respond. This only works while the hot key window is up. If I minimize TrackIR, the button control goes away.

Is this normal?

Thanks,

George

I had FSUIPC for FS9 and loved it. Is there an upgrade for it? Or do you have to buy a new license for the FSX version?

Thanks,
