Hi,
I want to use the optitracl system to track a 3D object... I've read some subject il this forum and I'm a little bit confused..
My question is:
Should we necesserly have the track clip to have the 3D position of the dots? or we have the position automaticly?
HOw should I do if I want to track a box to have its 6DOF?
thanks,
Malek

Re: 3d tracking, track clip ?
no answer??
I would know also the intrinsic parameter of th used camera!
Using the 2d 3d correspondance, I want to compute the extrinsic parameters.
So, WHat are the intrinsic parameters of the camera used in optitrack system and what is its model?
thanks

Re: 3d tracking, track clip ?
Currently the only way to track 6DOF position using the OptiTrack SDK is with a Vector Clip and the INPVector/INPVector2 feature. We are working on an upcoming solution which will calculate the intrinisc and extrinsic parameters and allow for multi-camera 3D tracking.
Based on the date of your post, it is most likely that you are referring to the OptiTrack FLEX-3. The stock lens for that camera has a Effective Focal Length of 3.4mm. We do not have any distortion information available for it, so you will need to calculate that on your own.
