I have a TrackIR3 Pro(no vector) I haven't checked the site for quite some time now. Since there is now a TrackIR4, what version of the software can I uprgrade to (should be using) with the 3Pro?

Also, my Brother-in-law just ordered a 3Pro with the vector expansion kit from eBay. What version of the software should he be using? And how should he install it properly? (ie: install 3Pro with lastest drivers then activate the vector expansion?) Any/All advice would be appreciated.

The TrackIR 3 is fully compatible with the latest version of the software, which can be downloaded from the following location.

As for your brother-in-law, download the latest software, install, then run through the vector expansion.

for myself, as far as upraging from 4.1.028 to 4.1.029 do I need to uninstall and delete the old directory then install the drivers fresh? Or can I just run the .exe over the current version? Also, what about my current profiles....do I need to save them somewhere before doing either of the above scenarios?

Run the downloaded file, it will first uninstall the old software, then it needs to be run again to install the new software.

I am having trouble activating this version of Vector Support. I purchased a 3Pro unit with the vector expansion from eBay. I already have a 3Pro unit, I just needed the vector expansion for myself and was going to give the unit to my Brother-in-law.(he doesnt need 6DOF)

While trying to activate the software it indicated that it was already linked to another unit (presumably the new one I'm holding in my hands....serial #23448) I'd like to keep my unit (I know it's been reliable for me so I want to keep it....serial #25043). Can the codes/licensing be switched over to MY 3Pro?
