6 vs 8 camera setup

How much better is an 8 camera setup over a 6 camera setup?
I like the fact that the 8 camera setup has 4 stands rather than 6.

An ideal setup will have 8 to 12 cameras, and 6 is the bare minimum.

Part of it is subjective, but the 6 camera setup would be more likely to experience marker occlusion, and will offer less flexibility than an 8 camera setup allows.
