My computer has been crashing at least 3 times a day for a few months.
I seriously doubt SmartNav has anything to do with the crashes. It' just that when I troubleshoot other errors using Win Xp Event Viewer I see this message frequently "The NaturalPoint Tracker USB Driver (ezmon.sys) service failed to start
due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it
has no enabled devices associated with it."
Is this a problem? Even though SmartNAV works just fine.
Win XP Event Viewer- NaturalPoint error
Re: Win XP Event Viewer- NaturalPoint error
Ben,
The ezmon driver is used to support some NaturalPoint devices, it is shipped with the SmartNAV software in order to simplify driver support. If your device is not using this driver there is nothing to worry about, it should not cause any errors (whether in use or not in use).
