TrackIR not working within game

I have just aquired TrackIR for use with Combat Flight Simulator 3. From within its own software it appears to be working OK. However It does not work within the game. The green LED is on, but the blue is not. I have looked in the setting of the game and cannot find anyway to activate the device. I know the two are compatible as there are a number of very happy users on the SimsOuthouse forum.

What version of Windows are you running?

Hi Vincent. It is XP. I have sorted it (with a little help from my friends over at SOH). Here's the problem. The latest software for Logitech keyboard and trackball (Setpoint) does it. I have to start TiR first, then close the Logitech software and then start CFS3. It works only if I do it in this order. If I shut down the Logitech software before I start TiR, it doesn't work...

somebody else had this problem and their fix did it for me.

Yep, that will cause an issue...... love the logitech stuff....

Mmmm. Now it's stopped recogizing CFS3 again. Since getting it working last time, I've installed new version of Norton 2008 and a new Acer monitor. I've tried diabling the viruscan, no joy!
I run XP SP2, use Logitech wirless keyboard and mouse and Saitek Cyborg force joystick. Still doing the diabling the logitech software.

Any ideas?

So the TrackIR is still being picked up in the TrackIR software?

Yes, I get the green LED, when I use the vector clip on my cap, but not the blue to recognise the game.

OK. right I'll do a clean install. Other stuff in background, Norton security viruscan, firewall, Google talk.

Try and close as much background apps as possible.
