switch input

Post by mazznara »

Switch clicking is intermittent. I'm using a normal "pillow switch". The switch works fine with other devices. Half of the time it works perfectly, but sometimes it just doesn't do anything. This is true whether using the Y-adapter or bypassing it. The plug is clean, and reinserting the it doesn't help. And, yes it is plugged in all the way.

Aside from this issue, I'm very happy w/ the product. The base could use a serious redesign though. I'm sure it would be great for a desktop, but w/ my laptop, it needs to be adjusted every time I use it.

Serial # 26757
The computer is running windows XP.

Hello,

If it is a mono switch then it should only work consistently with the Y-adapter, bypassing the Y-adapter will cause erratic behavior.

Though if the switch was working perfectly then the switch input port on the unit may need to be tested. If you give us a call at 888-865-5535 and ask for Kevin I will issue an RMA for sending the older unit back and then once we get the older unit back will send you out a new unit.

Did you get mounting clips with your order? We have black plastic clips that were made for attaching our units to laptops and lcd monitors. They are pretty solid and I will include some with the unit we send out to you.

Best Regards,
Kevin
