Occationally, when in the virtual cockpit in FSX, hotspots in some areas for switches/gauges will not work correctly. When mousing over the hotspot, the cursor hand will appear, but will the switch does not function. Usually adjusting the angle will fix this.
The other day I was attmepting to set up a new "camera definition" for my aircraft. I first loaded the flight, got the view/angle I wanted, then saved the flight with that view. After starting the saved flight, many of the hotspots were again...not functional, but the hand would appear, and additionally, the hand will flash on and off quickly as I mouse over the hotspot. Nothing extreme about the angle of the view. ALL hotspots worked correctly BEFORE I saved the flight, but not after restarting the flight. Addiitionally...after loading the saved flight, no amount of repositioning or adjusting the angle of view will get the hotspots to work correctly.
What causes the hotspots to become deadspots in FSX?? Any ideas?
Thanks.
FSX hotspots on virtual cockpit
Re: FSX hotspots on virtual cockpit
I would look at the cockpit settings, and the switch locations, as well as if it is an FS9 cockpit, as there maybe some crossover issues.........
Re: FSX hotspots on virtual cockpit
Yeah, it's a ported FS9 a/c...could be part of the problem I guess.
What do you mean by "look at the cockpit settings, and the switch locations"?
Thanks.

Re: FSX hotspots on virtual cockpit
On the cockpit cfg files, as well as the cockpit design settings there maybe a mess overlap that could be causing the issue.....
Re: FSX hotspots on virtual cockpit
After doing some more research on this, turns out to indeed be an FS9 vs FSX issue. I just wanted to be sure it had nothing to do with my beloved TIR.
Thanks
