TrackIR4 not working in Falcon4 OF/RV

Hi, this is a crosspost from the RV and OF forums:

Allright, I have TrackIR4 that does work wonderful with every game I have tried so far, including Falcon 4 Allied Force.

Unfortunately, in both Openfalcon and Freefalcon4 I have the same behavior: I installed from scratch, changed nothing in the config editor, changed nothing in the game except screen resolution and enabled 3d pit trackir.

When I switch to the 3d pit, I cant move around neither with keys nor with TIR, when the TIR software is running. When the TIR software is completey disabled, I can move around fine with the keys in the 3d pit.

When starting the game, the blue led is on, as well as the green led for tracking. Outside the games my profiles work, as they do in other games so I assume they are correct.

I tested this on two machines, I installed F4 from scratch several times with both flavors and re-installed the latest TIR software.

I also made a new profile in the TIR software which enables only pitch/yaw movement to see if it works even with just plain dot tracking, without the 6dof stuff. No avail.

With the input from both forum communities I have tried to minimize and search for errors in the games itself, but I have found no solution for this problem.

Problem solved: since I installed a new computer, I had not yet attached my HOTAS. When the HOTAS is enabled in the sim, TIR works fine. Weird though it does work in F4AF without any HOTAS.

Did you configure the trackir correctly in the f4patch program?
