System Tray/Taskbar icon becomes unresponsive

It seems this problem has surfaced recently with my SmartNav 3 software: The icon in the system tray/taskbar/notification area becomes unresponsive to mouse clicks. I can't get to the control panel or shut down the software. I kill the task with task manager and then start it up again, and it will work fine for a while. I can't say for sure, but the problem may start after putting the laptop to sleep and waking it up again.

It is an issue that we have seen with the latest software/drivers, and sleep mode.
