(Disclaimer: hating to ask so many questions but I feel like I'm almost there!)
QUESTION 1: I've downloaded and applied the Tennis/Boxing BVH file to my Poser figures Optitrack supplies so I KNOW this works well with Poser... problem is, late last night I got some pretty decent capture (by pointing the cameras way down) and here's how it went:
* Recorded Capture
* Trajectorized
* filled gaps/smoothed frames
* exported bvh file
* opened Poser, imported to figure ("along X axis" / "auto scale")
However, when the character started moving his left shoulder was hunched over and his neck was stretched downward. Didn't look anything like the capture did when I replayed it in optitrack. Is there something extra I need to do to make it look as good as the boxing motion looked you guys supplied? (note: On the cameras I had 5 'Excellents' 1 'Greats' and 1 'Good' - I also did an earlier and crappier BVH file when I had the cameras set up differently that were 8 'Excellents' - the feet were missing but the shoulder/neck problem was still there)
QUESTION 2: Frames per second. It seems as if I cannot get out of capturing @ 100FPS, is there a way to convert that 100FPS into 25FPS? I've set "all cameras" (in the right navbar in Optitrack) to 25 FPS but when I trajectorize, if I pick anything other than 100FPS the figure moves in "hyper-speed"
* I'm really really really trying to stay at about 25FPS since my scenes are 10/20 seconds long and 100FPS is 2,000 frames... too long for rendering right now (my renders are about 2 minutes+ pre frame). Can I recorded/Export at 25FPS and have fluid images? (and if so how do I need to set it up? I played around and went to the "pointcloud" tab and tried "reconstruct(?) at 25FPS but it did not seem to work)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Once again, sorry for ALL of the questions but things are coming at me kinda fast right now and I'm spinning in circles!
BVH files, FPS and Poser HELP!
Re: BVH files, FPS and Poser HELP!
Regarding question 1, please send your .pt2 and .skl files to support@naturalpoint.com.
Regarding question 2, you can export BVH in any frame rate by adjusting the FPS setting in Export BVH dialog. FPS settings in Camera and Point Cloud tab should be kept at 100.

Re: BVH files, FPS and Poser HELP!
It looks like your top upper back marker is too high. You can try lowering it about 1 to 2 inch. This marker controls the height of shoulder joints. When you have your arms horizontally raised, 3D skeleton shoulders should be horizontal, otherwise the marker is probably not at correct height.
Also 3 markers on upper arms are close to collinear. If you move the markers closest to the shoulders more toward bicepts and a little lower to form triangles, it should improve tracking.

Re: BVH files, FPS and Poser HELP!
Hm... OK - will try that for sure... I adjusted the arms so now they're in much more of a triangle and I lowered the back to the middle.
I will take some more captures tomorrow evening and let you know what happens.
THANK YOU
