Hello all,
Has anybody else had problems where the dwellclicker doesn't work with the latest version of ZoneAlarm? A right click on the ZoneAlarm icon in the system tray opens the menu but, that's as far as I can go. All other clicks generated by dwellclicker are ignored by the ZoneAlarm program.
I can use the SmartNav to point the mouse to an item in ZoneAlarm I want to open and have someone else generate a click via my standard USB connected mouse and it works!
The old fix for this with the NaturalPoint version 2 drivers was to give the dwellclicker and naturalpoint software increased Internet access. I tried that this time and restarted the machine a couple of times with no luck.
Here are the details of my machine...
SmartNav3, S/No = 26919
SmartNav3 driver version =3.20.023
Windows XP SP 2, Pentium 4, 512MB of RAM
ZoneAlarm version =6.0.667.000
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Cheers, Sean

Re: Dwellclicker doesn't work with ZoneAlarm
I will look into this and see what the issue could be.
We have Zone Alarm on a computer here and dwell clicking seems to work fine.
Will let you know.

Re: Dwellclicker doesn't work with ZoneAlarm
Perhaps try the free dwll click from Click-N-Type freeware program
Re: Dwellclicker doesn't work with ZoneAlarm
The dwell (Autoclick) option built in to the Click N Type software will only work within the keyboard software itself. It will not work on other desktop items, like the start menu.

what Dolfin Cat is refering to is the free dwellclicking program that is recommended by the makers of Click-N-type on their website at www.lakefolks.org.
It doesn't work with zonealarm either!
I just upgraded to ZoneAlarm ver. 6.1.737.000 and still have the same problem. Now I'm wondering if this is a zonealarm security measure? Although if it was wouldn't everyone with a sm3 & za 6 have the same problem as me.
Anyone got an idea of what to do?

Re: Dwellclicker doesn't work with ZoneAlarm
I have a problem with zonealarm and natural point. Where when I boot into windows natural point locks ups because of zone alarm blocking natural point from working. Because I think zone alarm thinks natural point is an intruder. So I have to manually use mouse go into msconfig and disable zone alarm and reboot to use natural point.I know this is not what was discussed in this forum but its the only one I could find pertianing natural point and zone alarm. All help appreciated

Re: Dwellclicker doesn't work with ZoneAlarm
Hello,
This issue is addressed in our manual:
9.12 Problem : The Zone Alarm software prevents the SmartNAV from working.
Possible Cause
By default, SmartNAV cursor movement and clicking does not work with Zone Alarm running.
Solution
The user will need to go into the Zone Alarm Program Control section and click the Programs tab. They can then left click on SmartNAV and allow it to run normally. After that mouse functionality should work.
Please try this solution and if you are still having issues let me know.
Thanks
