Record and Playback buttons under tools tab (TrackIR4)

Hi,
On TrackIR 4 there are record and playback buttons under the tools tab.
What do these do and how do you use them?.
They do not seem to be mentioned in the help menu

They are used to create s diagnostic data file, which can be sent to us, for troubleshooting.
