Expression and Rigid body as one??

Post by antonytornado »

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I run a film production company based in the UK. We are seriously considering investing in a full motion capture system. the arena equipment seems to be great. I do have one question. it would be great if someone could help. Most of our work will be done through live shows etc. I wondered what would be the set up to be able to capture rigid body and facial expression in the same instance? Is this possible?

Hi Antony

Currently, the Arena system won't allow simultaneous full body and facial capture, they have to be run separately.

You can however, run the Arena full body with motionbuilder and use the voice device built in to MB to do some of what you are looking at doing. You can email me at bryan@kkstudio.us if you would like more info on how to do that.

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for the reply. That is very interesting indeed. Knowing that it is kind of possible takes us on to the next step of creating and developing a sustainable business model. If you don't mind, I would very much welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with you in due course.

Hello Antony,

We are developing a system (based on MotionBuilder and Optitrack hardware), with markerless face capture for live shows. If you are interested, just send me a mail.
