Z Axis question.

Post by tn_prvteye »

I've searched, but can't find a solution. Is there anyway to assign the Z-axis to "zoom" instead of moving your eyepoint?

Instead of moving your eye-point, your view will zoom in to get a closer look..like in Blackshark, or the Thirdwire series. I guess you could also call it FOV.

It should behave the same way, in all 3 applications......

Well, when I lean forward in CFS3 (actually I'm using OFF3), my eyepoint moves back and forth. For instance, if I'm looking at an enemy fighter and I lean forward, the cockpit structure gets closer, but the enemy aircraft stays the same. In BS and the Thirdwire series, I can actually zoom in so the enemy craft gets bigger.

Am I making sense?

There isn't anyway to change it. As it is defined by the game developer, when TrackIR support is added.
