TRackir4 in X-plane 9 Works for 3 seconds then stops

I have a Trackir 4 and have been using it with FSX and FS9 and X-plane with no problems. I haven't flown xplane for a couple of weeks and when I did and went to use Trackir ( I have Sandy's plugin)with Trackir running thenm in Xplane I would enable the plugin and I would get a blue light and everything is fine for maybe 3 or 4 seconds and then the blue light oges out and I loose and head movement. I figured maybe it was something with the plugin but after triple checking and reinstalling a fresh copy of the plugin and down loading the lates trackir software but nothing worked. Without restarting xplane if I disable the plugin and then go back and re-enable it I get the same results in that it works for 4 seconds then stops. Essentially it's non-functional .I uninstalled X-plane and reinstalled from CD the original version of X-plane 9 . I still have the same issue with Trackir starting then stopping after several seconds.

Yes same thing if I use builtin support or the plugin.

Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location,
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06- ... nuals.html

Ok I followed your instructions step by step and get the same results. Trackir works for maybe 3 seconds long enough for me to trun left and then right and then stops and the blue light goes out.

Any firewall/antivirus software running?
