Extension cable for egg switch

Post by curetzky »

I have purchased an egg switch to use with my SmartNAV but the cable is short. To extend the length will any 3.5mm audio/video extension cable work?

I should have stated either stereo or mono doesn't matter?

I would recommend the stereo one to be safe although the other one may work. If you are using the Y adapter, I would plug the stereo extension cable directly into the SmartNav and then the Y adapter into the extension cable, then the switch into the Y adapter.

The Mono one might work if all you want to do is extend the cable for the switch.

Thanks. I got the stereo cable but I didn't plug it into the SmartNAV for a couple of reasons. I plugged it into the Y cable and the egg switch into the extension cable and it works as it should.
