Cannot get the camera to work- help?

Cannot get the camera to work- help?

Hi everyone,
I have been trying to install SmartNav and while I have an icon on the desktop, the computer is not recognizing the camera and I am unable to use the program. When I plug in the camera into the USB port on my computer, the computer says "found new hardware" and then says that I have to install the software administrator (the software is already installed!). When I click on the Smart Nav now the icon on my desktop, it says that it cannot connect with the Smart Nav camera and is disabled until the camera is plugged in (for the camera is already plugged in!) I am confused -- please help.

Plugging in the hardware, requires that the drivers are installed as well.

Are you canceling out of the driver install portion, when you plug in the hardware?
