Status: No Device

Post by theoklahomaaviator »

Hello,
Here is my problem.

My TIR4Pro was working fine as I was just using it with FS9
I restarted my system (leaving the tracker plugged in) and now I can't get the software to recognize the unit. It says "Status: No Device" in the lower left of the software front page. I am running Vista SP1 and I went into my Device Manager and noticed that the device is loaded and present with no errors indicated. I have a slow flashing blue and green light in the unit when the software is not running. One thing I did notice is when I run the software the blue and green lights miss a blink, then go to this hyper fast (almost solid illumination) for about ~1-2 seconds then back to the slow steady idle blink. No red lights of any kind ever display at any time. I also did (after the problems arose) a complete wipe of the software and drivers and did a fresh install of 4.1.037-Final and saw no change in operation. I've tried running the software and plugging in the unit... I've tried plugging in the unit and running the software... nothing seems to work.

Everything was fine until I did that hard reboot and now I'm dead in the water. Thank you in advance for your support,
-Adam

EDIT: oh and I also tried it in different USB ports as well. I should note that I am NOT using ANY USB hubs. It is a direct connection.

EDIT2: I even tried it on a different computer that had never had a TIR on it before and still had the same problems. I'm guessing my TIR unit is dead.

The product was purchased direct from Natural Point in January of 09 so it should still be under warranty if there is no foreseeable solution on my end. Thank you.
