USB Device Not Recognized

Post by bcb871810 »

So I have had my Track IR working on my computer for the past month with no problems, today I start up my computer and Track IR will not work. I've unplugged it and everytime I plug it back in, Windows gives me a message saying the USB device is not recognized. While it's plugged in, the blue LED does not flash like it used to. I've checked the USB ports with other devices to see if they work and they do. I've taken Track IR to another computer and plugged it in and it works fine. ANy ideas on what the hell is going on here? It's driving me insane.

Are you connectred directly to the PC, or using a hub?

Moved USB ports?

What version of Windows are you using?

What version of the TrackIR software are you using?

I've tried both, through the hub and direct to PC.

Yes, I've tried all different USB ports.

XP Pro SP3

Track IR Software: 4.1 Build 28

However I downloaded the newest software and tried it also and nothing worked.

As I continually work with this, I notice that when my CPU is botting up or in sleep mode, the blue LED on TrackIR blinks, like it used to when TrackIR was "sleeping". But once I'm logged into Windows using the CPU, Track IR does nothing and the computer cannot recognize the device.

When I connect TrackIR the red LED comes on until the message pops up saying it cannot be recognized, then the light goes off.

I've tried the Registry Fixer also and it says no devices detected that needed to be fixed.
