Internal error on software install

Hi folks,

got a new system and wanted to install my trackir 5 but wasn't able to.I got an internal error when loading up the latest software download from the site.
I searched the forum here,but couldn't find a solution for this.(only found somehing about an installer unistaller or something,but that didn't work).

Hope someone can help me out!

What OS do you have? What version of the TrackIR software are you trying to install? What is the error message you are getting?

I'm running Win XP pro SP3.
this is on an Intel I7 920 2.67Ghz with 4gb ram and an ATI4870.

I got this problem with every software build for the track IR 5.So i think it must have something to do with windows,but what?
I get this error when starting up the installer:
Internal failure
error number:0x80040707

problem fixed!
problem was that i didn't have a My documents and a desktop folder in the folder documents and settings/all users.
