I have been using my trackIR 4 and pro-clip with no problems...installed the 5.0 software using my 4.o hardware and now my flight simulator X will not run in full screen mode. In windowed mode the track IR works fine, as soon as I go full screen my frame rates come to a crawl and my CPU gets pegged at 100%. FPS is like .1. Totally unusable. If I go back to windowed mode, it works.
I removed track IR5 and put IR 4 back on. Same problem... anyone know what the heck this software did to my FSX install?
trackir 5 hosed my FSX
Re: trackir 5 hosed my FSX
The software shouldn't effect the anything within FSX, as we don't make any changes within that application.
What version of Windows are you using?
What video card hardware/drivers are you running?
Do you have SP1/SP2 installed for FSX?
Does the issue occur regardless of running the TrackIR software?

Re: trackir 5 hosed my FSX
I cannot explain what happened, but things are working again. My FSX with Acceleration has been working fine under Windows Vsita HP 64bit using the 182.50 nvidia drivers with my GTX 285 SSC's. I installed trackir 5 software and the problem started. I uninstalled it, tested, and the problem was still there. I use nhancer and verified it was setup correctly and nothing had changed. I restored all the default profile's and settings with in the display properties for Global and Program profiles. Rebooted and now it is working again. I reinstalled trackir 4 software and I am back in business.
It appears trackir 5 makes some kind of display profile changes or something that made FSX unusable in full screen mode???
