well, the game stops responding and that would be the errors I get...

What version of the TrackIR software are you using?

Are you running other applications at the same time?

Vist 64 bit sp2

4.1.37 final

only other apps running is x52 flight control system
xfire
logitech G-Series key Profiler

Try running both applications as an admin (right click on the exe and select run as admin)

Does the error occur after a given period of time, or randomly?

randomly hasn't happened sense a redistribution
of DX from Micro$ofts release for DX on 9-09.

Also I have all my UAC's in Vista 64 bit off, and I'm aware of the run as admin.
