Hi
I manily use trackir5 in DCS:Black Shark and my "problem" is that i think its hard to do very small and smooth adjustments to the view when looking straight forward since i have to "snap" the head slightly to either side to "uncage" the trackir when it has "stabilized" itself in the center view. If i continue to look to either side or up/down the movement is as smooth as i want it but most of the time i look pretty straight ahead and center.
I have tried to find a way to disable this but i havent found anything. It has nothing to do with dead zone or movement speed or anything since the trackir follows as a charm when its allready moving. I dont know if its some kind of "stand by" mode or such but all lights are on and i pan the view slowly straight ahead and feel that the view "wants" to pull itself to the center... like a magnet or something.
If i dont move my head for a long time the trackir seems to shut down momentaraly but this is not the same thing.
I hope i have managed to describe the problem and that there is a way round it..
merry christmas btw

Re: Disable "snap to center"?
This sounds like a profile issue. If you're using the default profile, it has a decent deadzone built in via the profile's motion curves (especially on the yaw and pitch axes). For a profile without a deadzone, you can check out the Seth - Flight profile on the profile download thread:
