Okay Ive had a chance to read up on the forums.
I love the request area.
You guys are doing a great job getting feedback about your product.
Most of my wishes have been addressed.
I love the way the administrator responds to requests.
Great job guys.
Ive got a few requests that I didnt see request and a few ideas that Ive had that are similar to other ideas.
------------------------------------------
Some Requests For next version-
------------------------------------------
Hotkey Mapping:
I want to add my wish to the others for Joystick button mapping and also request the mapper accept mouse buttons too.
I'd like the mapping to accept multiple keys up to 3.
Example: <L-Shift L-Control F12>
The function keys and most single keys are heavily used by simulations already. Freeing users up to use multiple keys would be a huge benefit.
Joystick Support Mode:
I love the 3rd party software that loads a virtual joystick and uses TrackIR's enhanced mode as a joystick. It would be very nice to have the joystick ability built in so we could use enhanced mode directly with many more older games without any changes. This would also make it much easier for new games to add full functionality faster. All you'd need to do is ask new game makers to allow view mapping to any joystick. Track IR would instantly be supported by many new games.
3d Tracking:
Someone mentioned using two different TrackIR's for 3d tracking. I was thinking it might be possible to create a new hat with 3 reflectors for this purpose and still use one TrackIR? I'm wondering if you could put the current hat reflector, a circle, and a box in a triangle pattern on the brim of the hat and track the motion of the 3 shapes to get 6DOF 3D tracking? Perhaps a new hat could be made using 3 active color LED's. The differant colors working for 3D tracking. If needed you could build little arms into a new hat that widened the reflectors on arms. Enhanced 3D mode. The games using this could have true head position and angle in the cockpit realtime. As you moved side to side or tilted any direction your camera would moved 3d to match.
Windows Integration:
Love to see controls fully integrated into the control panel's game section.
------------------------------------------
After playing around with it more and seeing your dedication on the forums I'm now fully in love with your product and telling everyone I know about it.
Very very cool stuff, thanks for all the hard work.
