ntdll.dll issue

Hi,

I'm getting an error regarding ntdll.dll

AppNam: trackir5.exe AppVer 5.0.0.300
ModName ntdll.dll ModVer 5.1.2600.5755 Offset 000369da

After this TrackIr closes. Please help,

When does this error occur?

What OS are you running?

It occours when I launch the program.My OS is XP sp3

What video card hardware, and drivers do you have installed on the system?

Any other applications running in the backround (down by the clock, on the task bar)?

I have a geforce GTX260 with Nvidia 195.62. The only application in the background is the NOD32

Have you tried updating to the latest version, 196.21

Just to let you all know, I did remove the link in DavidGilbert's post because it went to an ad for registry cleaning software, not a direct file download.

Also, it should be noted that ntdll.dll is a very base level file requried for windows to run properly. Replacing it on the fly could potentially damage your installation of Windows.

I too added the ntdll.dll with another version and that fixed it.

So let me explain what happened. I had TrackIR on my old system and TrackIR 5 ran without problem.
I got a new system and was installing TrackIR and I got this error on startup.
I looked online and ran across this thread and got the idea to try it out, and it worked.

So about the two files. They both have the date 12/9/2010 on them but what's interesting is the "good" one (on in my TrackIR folder) is 709 kb
The one in system32 is 726kb.

The reason why it works in the TrackIR, as I recall from my dll hell days, is that the app looks first in it's own folder, then will use from system32, then path....

Anyway interesting to know and I debating whether to replace the sytem32 ntdll with this one. May do some more research online.
