OK to be always ON?

Hi,
I recently got a TIR5.
Is it OK to have the camera/headet always plugged in to a USB port or would that effect the durability of the product?

Should be no issue of the life span of the device, to have it plugged in all the time.

noticed that if it stays plugged in, tends to get a little warm even if its not in use (not forgetting all that monitor heat that gets transferred to it as my trackir sits on top the monitor.)

Cools off rather quickly once unplugged. I am sure it doesnt affect the durability of the product but just to be on the safe side, I always unplug it when not in use so as to let it cool off.
