single camera tracking
single camera tracking
I looked at your Tracking Tools video tutorial on single camera tracking. How does this work since one needs 3 cameras to calibrate the system in the first place?
Re: single camera tracking
Two different types of tracking are shown in the video. One uses technology similar to our TrackIR product which provides single-camera 6DOF tracking using known information about the camera and the tracked rigid body. The other is single marker tracking that also uses known information about the camera and estimates the marker's Z position based on its size. In both cases, a camera calibration is not performed.
Multi-camera tracking with calibrated cameras will always provide more accurate and reliable tracking than both the single camera tracking options.
