Just received the TIR5 w/track clip package. Also new to TrackIR.
What I'm seeing is image tearing with sawtooth shaped blank white areas at the edges of my monitor when I turn my head quickly (view angle aproximately 120 degrees from center in either direction). I'm seeing it with Over Flanders Fields in particular. Please note I DON'T get the tearing when panning the view in the game with my CH Combatstick joystick hatswitch at the same relative pan rate/speed. As such it appears to be software related but the question is whether it is the TIR5 driver or Over Flander Fields compatibility with TIR5.
Again, being new to TIR I apologize if this is an issue that's previously been posted/discussed. FWIW I'm running at 1900x1200 resolution with dual Evga GTX 260-216 SC GPU's (latest Nvidia driver) in tandem with an I7-930 OC'd to 3.8 GHz and 6 GB of 1600 RAM.
Image tearing when panning view
Re: Image tearing when panning view
Never mind, question answered: It's an issue with Over Flanders Fields. It was discussed in the OFF forums back in early 2008. Will spend time perusing the OFF forum for later posts with a possible work-around.
