Custom track clip

I'm using Trackir 5 with the track clip but have problems with background light. The Pro would I assume be an option, but I prefer the cap location. If I were to place IR LEDs where the track clip reflectors are would this solve the problem, or is the IR signal modulated in any way?

The IR leds, if placed in the exact same configuration, would be OK, but if you are having issues with large background IR, this won't "solve" the issue. Try increasing the light filtering, in the software options, as well as eliminating the extra IR light as well.

Is it possible to increase the light filtering maximum amount in the software? Even on max the track clip is easily seen; I would assume the Pro would be even brighter.
