Ability Switches not working

Post by Carmidian »

the switching was working fine until I downloaded the newest software update, and now I had no idea why but the switches stopped working.
Has anyone had this problem and if so how did they fix it?
Thanks.

Are your switches plugging directly into the SmartNAV camera?

Are you using a splitter cable?

the switches are plugged directly into the smartnav camera, and I am using a splitter cable for the left and right clicks. They were working fine until I downloaded the newest driver, just seems weird.

Should be anything different in the software applications, which effect the switches. Are the switch options available in the software?

You might also check the splitter cable connection, to the SmartNAV

Please also double-check with the older version to see if it still works with that. If it does, let us know the versions for both (working and non-working)

I have checked the splitter cable connection at the back a few times to make sure it is plugged in properly. Also I got rid of the software and reinstalled the older version into some reason they are still not working. During the uninstall process and the install process you are given the option to clean the USB port, I clicked yes with everything connected. Could this be the problem?

The USB drivers shouldn't effect the switch.

When you installed the older software, did you also delete the SmartNAV folder?

just tried that right now, nothing changed. There was an option to override a driver in the windows file which I accepted, other than that I got rid of all my other switching including the normal mouse, the keybound clicks on my G 15 keyboard and the clicks on my wheelchair. I will be giving a new laptop in the next couple of weeks and will try it out on that.
