Strange camera movement in FSX

Post by GRoss »

Hi everybody!

I've been using trackIR 5 for a few months now and am really enjoying it. I am mostly playing DCS:Black Shark and have absolutely no problems with it whatsoever - the head movement is responsive and pretty much spot on.

I also have FSX with Acceleration installed and I get some pretty weird camera movements.

The head movement isn't fluid as in Black Shark - it mostly is, but quite often it would move in quite large steps and after some intense tracking (Red Bull air-race) it often goes completely out of control and points the camera to the floor/seat/anywhere but where I want it - even when I move my head to the default centre, which forces me to re-centre my head and reset trackIR centre of view.

Does anyone else get this and is there a way to solve this?

..again, this only happens in FSX and works flawlessly in DCS:Black Shark

Are you using different profiles, between the 2 applications?

Are you seeing more than 3 green objects within the camera window?

Oh, completely forgot about this, sorry

I am using the same profile between both fsx, dcs-a10 and dcs black shark, and only fsx seems to be having problems with the camera. I only see 3 green objects in the camera window as well..

Nope, just FSX with Acceleration expansion. All original disks, so that shouldn't be the problem either... I might try reinstalling and see if that helps - don't really have time to play it, just wanted to get it working :S
