Tracking wanders

Can anyone shed some light on why my smartnav tracking seems to wander off course about every five minutes? I am a new user so not very experienced. I use f12 to recentre and then it seems ok for another five minutes or so, before seeming to get uncalibrated again. Any answers?

In the SmartNAV software, in the Tracking tab, what do you see here?

Any red/gray in the screen, beside the 1 green point?

Thanks for replying quickly. No red or gray in the screen. I wondered whether it might be light interference - is that what you're thinking?

Yes, generally erratic tracking can be caused by extra IR points.

What do you have the smoothing slider set to?
