Track IR and FS9 not working

This is one I definately need help with. I have just installed my new track IR on 2 computers. First one is a desktop running XP and the Tracker works just fine with both FS9 and FSX.

However, on my laptop whick is running Vista, it only works with FSX.

Any suggestion would really be appreciated

Make sure you have the standard language.dll installed with FS2004. Some custom versions of the DLL remove strings required by TrackIR.

Ensure that the notification messages in FS2004 are turned on. The notifications appear in the upper right corner in red when switching to the virtual cockpit. The setting is found in your fs9.cfg file located by default in:

c:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9

HideInfoText=0


Any other add-ons installed for FS9?

Have you tried running both the TrackIR software, and the gaming application as an admin (right click on the exe file for each, and select run as admin)?
